3 nos former soviet vacuum tubes form the heart - one that sets the input level to the filter. one that controls (and saturates) the filter core, and a third vacuum tube (behind the panel) that controls the resonance pathway. the non-linear nature of the vacuum tubes give this filter a truly unique sound. the resonance is very aggressive while still sounding musical.
