This is
a versatile unit, capable of many interesting sonic
creations!
The
input stage gives you four options - two with and
two without the Accutronics Spring Reverb. Both
include the option of flipping the phase of one
half of the stereo output - this effect gives the
psycho acoustic feeling of the stereo image
drastically widening.
Next is
The Two Band Equalizer which is warm and well
rounded, giving you the option to shape your sound
further.
The
Voltage Controlled Filter is a potent low pass that
can be used in conjunction with the Envelope
generator or with an external volume pedal -
positively or negatively.
The
Envelope Generator is what gets things moving, and
what gives the Retroverb plenty of action beyond
being a lush spring reverb. You can shake your
sound all over the place or add subtle movement to
the signal. The Generator can be switched to
infinite repeat at a users desired speed giving you
a rhythmic layer you can also play on top
of.

...and round
the back...
Guitarist Retro freaks (and people
that generally like to jump up and down on pedals)
will be delighted with the array of footswitch
possibilities on the unit. Connect a volume pedal
to control the cut off frequency - gives you an
instant and unique wah wah effect, activate the
envelope generator - the units excellent sound
mangling device, activate the Voltage Controlled
filter for drastic eq changes, activate the Voltage
controlled Amplifier for crazy volume effects. Or
you can of course bypass the whole lot and return
to normality.
The
name Retroverb deceives the Units possibilities, it
is not only a reverb, but also a great eq, and a
very dynamic lowpass filter with flexible
modulation capabilities. Giving on top of the
Vintage Spring Reverb sound, very interesting
filter-, wahwah- and tremolo-effects.
