the gakken sx-150 is a little analog synthesizer kit which comes packaged in a japanese diy science magazine. its very easy to put together - no soldering is required. its a
compact synthesizer with basic but welcome functions. it has one oscillator with an lfo for modulation, filter with switchable resonance and an ad envelope. it is controlled via a
stylus type "pen". it also has an external input for processing, a line output and a built-in speaker. it is very portable since its small and runs off 4 x aa batteries.
